Dock to Dish: The Future of Sustainable Seafood
Otium is a proud supporter of the Dock to Dish program– a small organization founded in 2012 by community activists, commercial fishermen and sustainable seafood advocates. Dock to Dish aims to create new alternatives to old industrialized seafood supply chains while strengthening small-scale fishing communities in North and Central America.
As members of the Dock to Dish program, we at Otium receive around 50 lbs of fresh caught seafood from local fisherman every week. Having this streamline to the dock is invaluable in offering the freshest local seafood to our guests.
Dock to Dish has undertaken a Kickstarter program to fund its efforts in increasing seafood sustainability and traceability, laying the foundation for responsible sourcing for future generations.
